About Hall of Thanes
Hall of Thanes is the dwarves' sacred burial hall, beneath Ironforge. Blizzard lists it for levels 13–18.
Finding the door. Walk into the throne room in Ironforge and look to your left. A spiderweb-covered corridor goes down from there.
Horde: this is the hard road. At BlizzCon, Blizzard's Nora Mills said the dwarves would never let the Horde "waltz right into their sacred burial chamber". The Horde will have to sneak in or fight their way through. Warcraft Tavern agrees the Horde can run it, but says getting in is difficult at the right level and there are no Horde quests inside. Icy Veins counts five quests, three of them Alliance-only, so the two guides do not quite agree. Either way, a Horde group is choosing the hard road.
Check the quests before you set a time. warcraft.wiki.gg says you must complete quests to unlock the dungeon, starting with Underground Map at level 15. So far only the wiki says this, so treat it as reported, and ask everyone in the group where they are in the chain.
