What we learned, and when
Forever is in beta and the facts move. Every claim on this site carries a source and a confidence level; this is the record of those changing — including the times we were wrong.

The PvP ruleset locks an account to one faction
Recorded as reported from a forum thread, now confirmed from Blizzard directly: “On the PvP ruleset, players can only create characters for one faction.” The other three rulesets allow both. It is the most consequential decision in the game and the least published.

A camp fire takes three objects and one from each player
Professions gain “over 600 new recipes”, and every profession gets three camp objects at different skill levels. A fully-buffed Basic Campfire is therefore three people with three different professions standing together — the game gives no way to find the third.

Darkspear Islands is 15 versus 15, off Kalimdor
Upgraded from reported, with detail: control points combined with Arathi Basin-style flag captures. Fifteen a side makes a premade a guild-sized commitment rather than a group-sized one.

The Classic dungeons keep their keys
Previously unknown. The question had been asked the wrong way — whether vanilla attunements return for Forever's new content — when what players want to know is whether the inherited dungeons still need theirs. Blizzard's own sentence implies it: the new raids need no attunement “similar to the original entry-level raids”, a qualifier that only means something if the rest are attuned.

Our launch countdown was 23 hours early
Launch is 4 November at 3:00 p.m. PST, which is 23:00 UTC. Our configuration said midnight UTC. It fed the countdown and the ranking that puts launch-week steps first, so it was wrong in both places a reader would act on it.
Our own error. No source to blame.

Guilds, with nothing depending on the unknowns
Blizzard has published almost nothing about Forever's guild system — not the charter cost, not the maximum size, not whether guild banks exist. So guild pages record what we know rather than what the game does, and say which is which.
Our own error. No source to blame.

The launch raids need no attunement
Hyjal Summit and Barrow Deeps open about a month after launch and require no attunement chain. If you were planning to spend launch week grinding a key, you do not need to.

There are no realms, and a name is locked region-wide
One mega-server per ruleset per region, with layering. A full name is unique within a region and reserved across every ruleset in it, which makes name reservation a region-wide race rather than a server-wide one.
