About City of Dalaran
City of Dalaran is the Kirin Tor's city in the Alterac Mountains, opened up as a dungeon. Blizzard's written table lists it for levels 28–33. At BlizzCon the level was only spoken, as "around levels 28, 30", which is where the 28–30 you may see comes from. We use Blizzard's table.
Not playable yet. On 1 October a developer said the dungeon is "coming in a future beta update". On 7 October, Wowhead still described players as waiting for it.
How each faction gets in, as seen on the beta. At BlizzCon, Nora Mills said the team would find "some roundabout way" to get you into the city. On the beta, that is a key. Wowhead reports that the Alliance speak to Image of Archmage Modera, receive the key and a quest, and walk in. The Horde have to work through a chain of quests first, which ends with the Dalaran Sewer Key.
For a Horde group, agree the key first. Everyone needs it before you meet at the door. This is beta behaviour, and it may change before launch.
Checked against its sources on 7 October 2026.
