What time does WoW: Forever launch? Every region's local time

One moment, everywhere: 3:00 p.m. PST on Wednesday 4 November, which is 23:00 UTC. In Europe and Asia that is already 5 November. Here it is in local time, what Blizzard's Korean and Taiwanese pages say, and what happens in the week before.

It launches at one moment worldwide: 23:00 UTC on 4 November

WoW: Forever launches on Wednesday 4 November 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST. That is 23:00 UTC. This is confirmed: Blizzard says it in its pre-purchase article and again in its BlizzCon recap.

Blizzard's word is "globally". There is no staggered, region-by-region start. Every region opens at the same instant, so the local time depends only on where you live.

You need an active subscription or Game Time to play. Nothing else is required at launch.

What Blizzard hasn't said: which clock each region's servers will show. Blizzard gives the launch in Pacific time, and in local time on some of its other-language pages, but has not published a server time for each region. The times below are the one launch moment, converted.

Americas: Wednesday 4 November, afternoon or evening

    Where Local time
US Pacific (PST) 3:00 p.m., Wednesday 4 November
US Mountain (MST) 4:00 p.m., Wednesday 4 November
US Central (CST) 5:00 p.m., Wednesday 4 November
US Eastern (EST) 6:00 p.m., Wednesday 4 November
    Hawaii (HST) 1:00 p.m., Wednesday 4 November
    Brasília (BRT) 8:00 p.m., Wednesday 4 November

Watch the clocks change. US clocks go back on Sunday 1 November, three days before launch. That is why Blizzard writes PST, not PDT. If you work it out from a converter set to summer time, you will be an hour out.

Europe: late on 4 November in the UK, midnight on the 5th on the continent

    Where Local time
UK and Ireland (GMT) 11:00 p.m., Wednesday 4 November
Central Europe (CET): Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Stockholm Midnight, Thursday 5 November
Eastern Europe (EET): Helsinki, Athens, Bucharest 1:00 a.m., Thursday 5 November

Blizzard's own German and French pages give the Central European time directly: "00:00 Uhr MEZ" on 5 November, and "minuit (heure française)". That is confirmed, and it is the same moment as 3:00 p.m. PST.

If you booked a day off, book Thursday. On the continent the servers open at the start of the 5th, so launch night runs into Thursday morning.

Korea and Taiwan: the morning of Thursday 5 November

    Where Local time
    Korea (KST) 8:00 a.m., Thursday 5 November
    Taiwan (UTC+8) 7:00 a.m., Thursday 5 November

Those are the global launch moment, converted. Two of Blizzard's own pages agree with them: the Korean pre-purchase article says 8:00 a.m. Korea time, and the Taiwanese BlizzCon recap says 7:00 a.m. Taiwan time.

Two other Blizzard pages say something else. The Korean BlizzCon recap says 3:00 a.m. Korea time, and the Taiwanese pre-purchase article says 9:00 p.m. Taiwan time. Neither matches 3:00 p.m. PST, and each disagrees with Blizzard's other page in the same language. We read both as errors until Blizzard says otherwise: the launch is "global", and every other page gives the same single moment. This conflict is reported, and we will update this page if Blizzard corrects either one.

Elsewhere in Asia-Pacific, converted from 23:00 UTC: 10:00 a.m. in Sydney (AEDT), 7:00 a.m. in Perth, and noon in Auckland (NZDT), all on Thursday 5 November.

Before launch: the beta ends, then name reservation opens

Two dates come first. Both are confirmed by Blizzard:

    • 21 October: the last full day of the beta.
    • 27 October to 3 November, Pacific time: Early Name Reservation. You can "create and customize up to three characters" and reserve their names, first come, first served. It comes with any upgrade purchase, not with a subscription alone. Blizzard's Korean page gives the window as 28 October to 4 November, Korea time.

Blizzard has not published opening and closing hours for the reservation window.

What to do with those dates, from which pack you need to the names to have ready, is in launch week: what to do before 4 November.
